The Cricket Team

In Kenya, a group of young Maasai warriors from the Laikipia region formed a cricket team with big hopes: to promote healthy living, to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and women’s issues, and ultimately to become role models in their community and ambassadors for both the Maasai and Kenya. The Maasai Cricket Warriors have been training hard, having recently left their village for the city of Mombasa to attend the Legends Cricket Nursery for further coaching. Their next goal is to travel to South Africa to take part in the Last Man Stands World Championships. The team has an open invitation and is now raising funds to make the trip.

Cities And Clothes

A cinematographic diary by Wim Wenders, 1989.

"Fashion. I'll have nothing of it. At least that was my first reaction when the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris asked me to make a short film in the context of fashion.

The world of fashion. I'm interested in the world, not in fashion! But, maybe I was too quick to put down fashion. Why not look at it without prejudice? Why not examine it like any other industry, like the movies
for example?

Maybe fashion and cinema had something in common. And something else -- this film would
give me the opportunity to meet someone who had already aroused my curiosity, someone who worked in Tokyo [Fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto].

Filmmaking should just remain a way of life sometimes, like taking a walk, reading a newspaper, eating, writing notes, driving a car or shooting this film here, for instance, made from day to day, carried along by nothing other than its curiosity -- a notebook on cities and clothes."

Cracked Analyses KONY 2012

Kony 2012 is internet bullying at its worst. its a racist hate crime video, that aims to inspire the American population to cry for invasion of Africa. It focuses on a black super villain named Kony, who probably isn't even a real person. Just The Facts

  1. KONY 2012 is the most successful war hysteria propaganda, er, viral video in the history of the military computer program known as the internet.
  2. Kony is the New Bin Laden. The new Hitler, like both of them. He's probably not even real.
  3. Kony 2012 is the internet version of the US military blowing up the twin towers and using the news to blame it on Bin Laden to justify invading Afghanistan, which turned us into the war criminals.

WAR IS PEACE.

KONY 2012 is a youtube movie produced by the CIA and made by a boy band of effeminate white missionaries who call themselves Invisible Children, created to create mass war hysteria in hateful white american virgins whose emotions were easy to take advantage of because they were still grieving the death of Osama bin Laden.
The new Bin Laden is a dude named Kony, a real mean black dude from Uganda who likes to pimp out little girls, and makes little boys cut off each others faces and kill adults. The point of the movie on a very shallow level is to make Kony famous by the end of 2012. Mission accomplished! After one week on youtube, the movie generated a fuckload of money in charity, Kony was famous, and the military was all riled up to invade Africa.
Then within one week of the success of the video, the narrator of the movie, a giant nordic missionary style CIA biotch named Jason Russel, stole the punchline from this article by running through the streets of San Diego, totally naked, jacking off in the streets.
Its true, the head of invisible children became a sex criminal, showing his dick to children in America, proving once again that the CIA is just constantly making fun of all of us, creating War is Peace war propaganda videos, suckering us with racist dreams of invading africa, then fucking his hand in the streets just to make fun of us.
Personally, i think Blood Diamond was a much better movie than Kony 2012. Because the message was alot more innocent. The message was Dicrappio is a great actor and don't buy blood diamonds. the message wasn't, you know, hate black people, support invading africa, and pump your dick in public til you cum in the streets.
fuck. america is retarded. The success of Kony 2012 is the proof. I don't even know how to make jokes about this ridiculous shit. the joke is on us. its a racist joke. its really insulting to be manipulated into war hysteria, and its just humiliating that the carnival barker who turned us into war mongering racists ready to plunder africa is currently stroking his dick in our faces on the tv news.
i'm just fucking embarassed.
its not funny. it hurts my fucking feelings. all i have left after the insult of Kony 2012 to my intelligence and conscience to offer is two quotes to consider side by side. maybe if you think about this stuff instead of following the advice and example set by Invisible Children, you won't end up giving hand jobs in the streets.
"WAR IS PEACE"
-1984. George Orwell.
"FIGHT WAR"
-KONY 2012. Invisible Children

Rwandan Hacker..East Africa's 'Anonymous'?

Yes... East African Firms should be worried, Rwandan Hacker is on a hacking spree...These hackers apparently hack for a cause and so far they have hacked 3 Kenyan and exposed their databases

A Hacker group known as Rwandan Hackers hacked three Bank websites in Kenya , they named the operation as "#opkenyabank".
They breached the security in Prime Bank limited ( www.primebank-kenya.com) , Development Bank of Kenya( www.devbank.com) ltd, CfC stanbic Bank Kenya( www.cfcstanbicbank.mobi) websites and leaked the sample data from dumped database in pastebin. The leak contains the database info such as table name, database name.
Hackers also provided a screenshot of the Control panel belong to the Prime Bank limited website. The above Rwandan Hackers also hacked into the website of The East African Standard, a leading media house in East Africa based out of Kenya. Rwandan Hackers have also announced that they were able to hack into the database of Sahaj Computers, who are security vendor's Kaspersky distributors in Tanzania. The hack was through SQL injection and the hackers published the username of the administrator's account. In January, Rwandan Hackers have also hacked into a site belonging to a Nigerian Government Agency and the University of Ghana.
So when i stepped forward on twitter and asked if it was really them they didnt shy away...
Why Do you hack exactly?

But Why Rwandan Hacker, Why hack Kenyan Banks?

Is this just the beginning, should we be worried..

Out of curiosity, who is your next target?
On hearing this i tried to reason with them, be a hero...Save my country ..okay thats an overstatement...
but i did ask them why they wanna hack theTanzanian Govt website..

There you have it... i hope all the geeks and nerds responsible for the Tanzanian Government website stay warned...
*walks away slowly*

Domestic Violence .. Against men

Kenyan women whats going on?

Kenyan men are claiming that they are being abused by their wives.
Maendeleo Ya Wanaume, a Kenyan men's lobby group, has called for a six-day boycott of meals cooked at home by their wives or partners.
Instead of eating home-cooked meals, Maendeleo Ya Wanaume said that men should meet and gather outside of home to eat and share their experiences of abuse.[source]
This is really brutal and these women need to have necessary measures taken against them...but this boycott is kinda funae...

Mabati Challenge

They dont spray on walls in Uganda...they paint on Mabati ...the love of art

In June 2011, Sadolin Paints and the Goethe-Zentrum Kampala created the first Mabarti Challenge — Art in Public Space: 31 selected artists, both up-coming and with a broadly-based appreciation, painted to colour the every-day lives of Ugandans.
From 18th to 26th June 2011, the 31 works were painted across Kampala’s inner city on corrugated iron (known in Uganda as Mabaati Sheets) sheets, which are usually provided by Sadolin Paints to shield construction sites. They now are a landmark of the brightness and contrast art implements in public space.
A jury of five, consistent of Prof. Dr. George Kyeyune, Professor of Art at the Makerere University, artists Josephine Mukasa and Roshan Karmali and a representative of Sadolin and Goethe-Zentrum Kampala respectively, decided upon the four winners of the competition.
All winners of the competition received a cash prize and will be able to organise an exhibition on account of Sadolin Paints and Goethe-Zentrum Kampala. Their exhibitions will contain the winning submissions and other works by the artist.
