Sole Work..

Battle of the Soles... Louboutin Red Or YSL blue?
And ...YSL's red sole...is the red sole Louboutin's to own?

Its a crazy world out there now... Kim Kardashians Suing people who look like her, Christian Louboutin is suing YSL for using the red sole... I know what you're thinking, it is a signature 'red sole'...but apparently you cant sue another designer against 'a color' as the court said
Random Thought, unless of course, Mr. Louboutin patents the color red and charges the crayon companies & the food dye companies for using it
Versace created a similar Solework For Their spring summer 2008, but they werent exactly red...somewhat orange...

PS. The Red Sole has been around since the 1600s on France's King Louis XIV So Louboutin Didnt actually invent them...
A quick look back at the history of Men and Heels...

The king was known for wearing decorated heels as tall as five inches and he decreed that only nobility could wear heels that were colored red (les talons rogue) and that no one's heels could be higher than his own....Men in Heels People...its actually aristocratic! They were even called Louis Heels..Yes...back then men wore heels as a sign of wealth and power..
.
This is out of context but...has anyone seen the new Cocktail bar inspired Louboutin heels yet ?....Giirl
I think YSL should've just stuck with their blue and yellow tho..

The Death of Baggy Jeans?

Wiz Khalifa on Baggy Jeans:

Baggy jeans are done. Nobody wants to wear big, baggy jeans. Baggy jeans are completely over with. Bigger shirts, you know, aren’t bad -- not too big, not like swallowing you or anything like that. Skinny jeans with a kind of oversize shirt is not bad, but freaking baggy jeans… If you wear 32 and you’re going to get a 36 or even a 34, is kind of, like, unacceptable. If you’re going to get a 36, 38, you’re completely out of it. [s]

High Heels For Men

The future of men and fashion...high heels...

Mark Cramer, left, and Coy Barton choose to wear heels as they find the conventional offerings for men so dull. Far from drag, men are choosing heels for the same reason as women - to feel good

46664 Autumn Winter 2011/2012

I love the pattern playfulness of this collection! Showcased at South African Fashion week, color blocking in menswear, major go! Plus prints, mixing prints and bold colors, the collection features both menswear and womenswear but i was somehow more impressed with the menswear...

Xhosa Inspired Knitwear

In Eastern Cape Xhosa communities, boys between the age of 18 and 23 undergo circumcision as part of a manhood initiation ritual. After initiates return home from initiation school, they are guided through a six-month process where their elders teach them manhood protocol. Xhosa initiates are traditionally called amakrwala during this process.
Before amakrwala attend circumcision school, all their old clothes are given away, which symbolises the end of boyhood. Their parents have to buy them new clothing, including high-quality men’s knitwear. This is where Ngxokolo saw a gap in the market.
Amakrwala buy imported knitwear brands, but he says these bear no resemblance to Xhosa traditions. For this reason, Ngxokolo wanted to develop knitwear using only traditional Xhosa designs and colours.
He says that amakrwala are influenced by urban, western styles and it was important to create contemporary garments that are still in keeping with Xhosa culture.
